By accessing or using Vela ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including beta participants and early access members.
Vela is an AI-powered content creation platform that enables users to generate copy, images, voice audio, and video content using third-party AI models including Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and Inworld TTS. Vela acts as an interface and orchestration layer; AI outputs are generated by upstream providers subject to their own terms and policies.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Vela. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Vela reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You agree not to use Vela to: (a) generate content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or harassing; (b) create deepfakes, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content impersonating real individuals without consent; (c) infringe intellectual property rights of third parties; (d) generate NSFW or adult content; (e) violate any applicable laws or upstream AI provider policies; (f) reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service; (g) attempt to circumvent regional restrictions or access controls.
You retain ownership of content you input into Vela. You grant Vela a limited license to process your inputs solely to provide the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you upload (images, audio, etc.) and that AI-generated outputs do not infringe third-party rights. Vela does not review AI outputs for IP compliance and is not liable for user-generated content.
AI outputs are generated probabilistically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. Vela makes no representations about the accuracy, suitability, or legality of AI-generated content. Do not rely on AI outputs for legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all outputs before use.
Vela operates on a prepaid credit system. Credits are non-refundable once consumed. Unused credits may expire as specified at purchase. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. Payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy (a Merchant of Record) subject to their terms.
Vela is not available in all regions. See our Supported Regions page for current availability. Using the Service from restricted regions is prohibited and may result in account termination. Entities majority-owned by persons or organizations in restricted jurisdictions are also ineligible.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. VELA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VELA'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. VELA IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with AAA rules, except for claims eligible for small claims court.
